I am very pleases with this brake system from the way it was packaged to how these brake pads perform.
The price was phenomenal for what i got.
I went to auto zone and almost bought crappy brake pads and thin rotors.

Fit my wife's Honda Element perfectly, installed easily, works fine.
The slots and holes do make a little buzzing noise when she brakes, but not loud enough to be annoying.
Following comments are not specific to this product, but more about Honda's brake design.
This was probably the easiest brake and rotor job I've ever done.
The rotor is held captive by the lug studs, so it doesn't have any extra fasteners of its own.
The caliper is held in a sort of clip that makes it VERY easy to remove also.
The downside of the rotor design is that lug nut torque becomes critical.
In cross drilled and slotted brake rotors, I had to do this job because a shop mistorqued the lug nuts after replacing the tires.
This mis-torquing caused the rotor to warp.

As road racing tires allowed greater track speeds in the 1960s, race teams began seeing a great loss in brake capability.

Ralph agrees that practical street driven vehicles rarely encounter the high heat conditions that make drilled or slotted rotors beneficial from a strictly functional stand point.
For the street, you want a heavier, larger diameter rotor.
Since both were ttwelve-inchdiameter cast iron vented rotors, using calipers of the same piston bore and using the same pads, the conclusion we draw is that GM engineers agreed that the larger rotor mass would produce cross drilled and slotted brake rotors desired better brakes for heavier loads.
So we seem to be back to the idea that the major issue in brake system heat transfer is the rotor mass.
